Email invitation

After purchasing a QoderWork CN or Qoder CN CLI subscription, enterprise administrators can use email invitations to add members to their organization in bulk. Invited members receive an email containing an invitation code and a registration link. After registering and setting an initial password, they can sign in and start using the service.

How it works

Administrators can send invitations to multiple corporate email addresses at once from the Qoder CN website. The overall process is as follows.

Prerequisites

Step 1: Send invitations

After domain verification is complete, you can start sending invitations. A two-step wizard guides you through configuring invitation settings and adding members.

1.1 Access invitation settings

  1. Go to Settings > Access & Authentication and scroll down to the Member Configuration > Email Invitation section.
  2. Click the Configure button to open the "Invite members to the organization" dialog box.

1.2 Configure invitation settings

In the first step of the wizard, set the invitation link expiration and member role:
  • Invitation Link Expiration: The default is 1 hour, with a maximum of 48 hours. After this period, the link and invitation code will automatically expire, and you must resend the invitation.
  • Invited Member Role: All members invited in this batch will be assigned the same role. You can change individual roles after they join.
    • Member: Can use the workbench and AI programming features. They cannot manage billing or other members.
    • Admin: In addition to standard member permissions, administrators can manage members, billing, and enterprise settings.
When finished, click Next.

1.3 Add member emails

In the second step of the wizard, enter the corporate email addresses you want to invite:
  • You can enter email addresses in two ways:
    • Add one by one: Enter an email address in the input box and click Add a row to add another.
    • Bulk import (if available): Paste multiple email addresses into the text box. The system automatically parses them.
  • You can send up to 200 invitation emails at a time.
After confirming the details, click Send Invitations. The system sends an email with a one-time invitation code and a registration link to each address.
After sending the invitations, you can go to the Member Management page to view the list of invitees, their invitation status, and the remaining time until expiration. You can also resend, cancel, or delete individual invitations from this page.

Step 2: Accept the invitation and register

Invited members will receive an email from noreply@qoder.cn with an invitation to join the organization. Open the email and click the Join Organization button. Your browser will open the Qoder CN "Join Organization" page. Your email address is pre-filled. Tip: If the button does not work (for example, on a different device or if blocked by your email client), you can manually copy the link from the email, open it in your browser, and use the 6-digit invitation code from the email to complete the verification.

2.2 Enter invitation code and set password

On the "Join Organization" page, complete the following steps:
  1. Invitation Code: Paste or enter the 6-digit invitation code from the email. This is usually pre-filled if you clicked the link in the email.
  2. Set Password: Passwords must be at least 8 characters long and contain uppercase letters, lowercase letters, and numbers. For added security, we recommend including symbols.
  3. Confirm Password: Re-enter your password.
  4. Select the I have read and agree to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy checkbox.
  5. Click Join Organization and Complete Registration.
Upon successful registration, the system adds the member to the organization and assigns the role configured by the administrator during invitation.
The invitation code is time-sensitive (default 1 hour, as configured by the administrator). If it expires or the invitation is revoked, contact the administrator to have it resent.

Step 3: Sign in and use the service

After registration, members can sign in to Qoder CN through the following methods:
  • Website: Go to qoder.cn and sign in with your registered email and the password you set during registration.
  • IDE plugin / client: At the login prompt, select Sign in with Qoder CN Account and enter the same email and password.
After your first sign-in, we recommend going to Personal Settings to update your nickname and profile picture, and to enable multi-factor authentication (MFA) if needed.

FAQ

Q1: How long does it take for the invitation email to arrive? What should I do if a member does not receive it? Invitation emails are typically delivered within one minute. If a member has not received the email after five minutes, try these steps:
  1. Check their spam folder.
  2. Confirm that the corporate email gateway is not blocking emails from noreply@qoder.cn.
  3. As the administrator, go to the Member Management > Pending tab and click Resend Invitation.
There is a 24-hour cooldown period for resending the same invitation. Clicking the button again during this period has no effect.
  1. If the member still does not receive the email after you resend it, contact Qoder CN support to check the email delivery status. After the issue is resolved, send a new invitation.
Q2: What happens if the invitation link or code expires? Registration cannot be completed with an expired link or code. Ask an enterprise administrator to locate your entry on the Member Management > Expired tab and click Resend Invitation. This generates a new invitation code and resets the validity period. Q3: Can multiple people use the same invitation email? No. Each invitation code is tied to a specific email address and can only be used to register that address. Administrators must send a separate invitation to each member. Q4: How can a member change their email address after registration? A member's registered email address is tied to their identity within the organization and cannot be changed by the member. To use a different email address, ask an administrator to remove the original account and send a new invitation to the new address.
