Use
/plan in Editor to review an implementation plan before writing code. In an Agent-mode conversation, enter /plan followed by your requirements to generate an implementation plan. Review and adjust the plan before execution.
Workflow

Request a plan
In Editor's Agent mode, enter
/plan and describe the feature, constraints, and acceptance criteria. Include relevant file or module paths when helpful.2
Generate the plan
The agent analyzes your requirements and project context, then produces a plan covering the goals, technical approach, and implementation steps. Planning does not modify files or execute commands.

Review and adjust
Check that the plan covers your requirements, constraints, and verification steps. Before execution, use the conversation to add missing steps or revise the approach, such as adding regression tests and documentation updates.

Execute and monitor
After approving the plan, ask the agent to execute it. Track to-do status in the conversation. If changes are needed, pause, explain the new requirements, and continue with the revised plan.

Review and commit
Review the code changes and verify the result in Editor, then use your project's version-control workflow to stage, commit, and push.
