Review and commit

Review changes

Editor supports code diffs and the IDE Source Control workflow for staging and committing changes. Open Source Control and select a file under Changes to compare its contents. You can also open changed files from an Agent response to review generated edits. Check the changes against your requirements and run project tests. Accepting or reverting an Agent edit is separate from staging and committing it in Git.

Stage and commit

  1. In Source Control, select Stage Changes for the intended file.
  2. Review Staged Changes and include only files for this commit.
  3. Enter a commit message and select Commit. If a commit-message editor opens, save the message and complete the commit.
  4. After the local commit, push according to your project workflow.
Configure your Git user name and email before your first commit. Pushing requires a remote repository and permission. A local commit does not publish documentation or deploy an application.
